The C.O.J.I. is an association that, in the development of its objectives, seeks the social integration of the Isla Juventud to the European entity and the sensitization of Youth in the field of associative life, solidarity, mutual respect and citizenship , as well as the development of the purest spirit of fair play in the field of sports exchanges On the other hand, it is the interest of COJI to promote sport within the European island Youth, as a factor of integration and social cohesion, favor exchanges and the dynamic collaboration between the islands that allow the development of studies and cooperation projects between cities and regions. We must also underline, transform the “Games of the Islands” into an international sporting event that develops the Olympic spirit among the Youth, the fundamental principles of “Fair Play” and the ability to organize technical perfection. program, technical training and protection of athletes from the peripheral island regions. The objective is to contribute to the economic, technical and social exchanges of these regions as well as to collaborate with the sport management bodies, at the international level, in the promotion of Olympic ideals and education, in respect for the principles of sports practice and for its technical development, all contributing to the dissemination of Olympic ideals and the preparation of future island athletes for their integration into the Olympic teams
